Examples of some of our Past Projects
A.) Scientific Data Report Delivery
Working with a client we were able to demonstration a proof of concept system that collected national weather data, created a basic forecast on a proprietary algorithm and delivered the data via fax/email directly to a client. The system was successfull and became a service that was sold by the client across the country.
B.) Aircraft Telemetry Data
Having been provided telemetry data for a model aircraft flight system, we were able to quickly turnaround a prototype that integrated the data into a Google Earth system. The prototype later became the primary visualization product for the aircraft system that is sold today.

C.) Data-mining Feasibility study
A client asked us to study the possibility of crawling an public access State court database, to collect potential leads for case follow-ups. The research and prototype system, provided a very large base of case follow-ups. By using our services, the client was able to start generating a tremendous amount of leads with very little effort. The manual process would have taken countless hours, whereas the system we built was able to do the same work in a matter of minutes.
As a result of the project, we have become the client’ main R&D partner and have also expanded the initial system to process voter polling data. This process of crawling some 20,000 records in a database was being done in a manual fashion. In little over an hour, we were able to build a system that could run through that volume of data in a few seconds.

Just a few of some internal projects that we have worked on to satisfy our curiosity.
i) Web Google Earth National Weather Mashup
As part of our data collection processes, we pull in data observations from every weather station across the country, every few hours. We wanted to see how difficult it would be to automate the process and securely upload an hourly snippet of the data to our website. The data is then converted in Google Earth KML format and streamed to the Google Earth Plugin. You will need the Google Earth browser plug-in to view the application (completely free). ii) Web Google Earth – Silva Tech Website Visitor Mashup
Using the same framework as the Weather Google Earth Mashup, we took it a step further. We processed every visitor to our website in the past year, using our raw website logs and looked them up via a GEO-IP database. The data is then encoded into the Google Earth KML file format and uploaded to our website.
